This book is designed to teach words and their meanings through the medium of pictures, organized by topic. There are over 1300 nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions, idioms and phrases, and over 1500 full-color 3-dimentional images. The presentation of vocabulary by topics helps to establish an immediate association between vocabulary and visual images, reinforcing both the child's mother tongue and the target language vocabulary. In addition, the alphabetical word lists allow for easy access to specific words by page number, an important step in the preparation for developing basic dictionary skills.
