Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi wrote “Words are the pen of the heart, music is the pen of the soul.” When you speak you reveal one level of yourself, words can have a profound impact, but music is the pen of the soul. when you hear a melody you are transported to the soul – the deepest feelings of the person who composed it. The music of the Infinite Light was composed by the leaders of the Chabad Chassidic movement, and their followers, who were very spiritual and saintly individuals. When you hear the music they composed you get a glimpse in to their mind and souls and deepest feelings.
