Part of the Zoharic litrature, consisting of seventy chapters on the first word of the Torah, by the school of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai(circa 120 c.e.). The work contains some of the most important discussions in Kabbalah, and is essential for understanding the system of the Zohar. In the opinion of the Sages it was written specifically for the "days of Mashiach". It also includes a guide to help the reader with the custom of reading all of Tikkuney HaZohar between Rosh Chodesh Ellul and Yom Kippur.
